ABOUT DR. KANAAN
Matthew Kanaan DO, MS grew up in Raleigh, NC before moving to Florida as an adolescent. Years later, he and his wife returned to Raleigh for training at Duke Medical Center, fell in love with the area, and decided to stay and build their family here. Dr. Kanaan is a non-surgical sports medicine and regenerative medicine trained specialist. He is passionate about sports medicine and has been performing PRP / Cell injections since 2012.
During his training at Duke Medical Center, Dr. Kanaan served as an assistant team physician for Duke football, basketball, and lacrosse, in addition to assisting with the Elon University football team’s medical needs. He has published many research projects to advance the field of regenerative medicine, and is passionate about finding new, cutting-edge ways to help patients return to the activities they love through nonsurgical treatments. Dr. Kanaan has performed over 50,000 Ultrasound-Guided Procedures in the last 10+ years. Dr. Kanaan enjoys playing tennis and traveling with his family.
