SuperPRP+
Enhanced PRP Injections

PRP Plus HA or Double-Spin (Super Concentrated PRP)

WHAT IS SUPER PRP+

SuperPRP is a combination of our High-Dose PRP plus either Hyaluronic Acid (HA) or double-spin super concentrated PRP with concentrated proteins. There is an additional fee for SuperPRP+ add-ons to our High-Dose PRP.

SuperPRP+ HA (Hyaluronic Acid)

  • There are many studies that support combining HA and PRP into one treatment protocol in order to optimize pain relief. This can be either staged or same-day depending on the patient's timeframe.

  • HA (hyaluronic acid) is a long tested natural lubricant, which can help boost PRP's efficacy by providing longer lasting relief.

  • This unique and customized approach is ideal for arthritis of many joints (knee, hip, shoulder, etc.).

SuperPRP+ DS (Double-Spin Super Concentrated)

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is rich in growth factors released by platelets, but its efficacy depends on the surrounding environment. Plasma proteins like A2M, IL1-ra, sTNF, PDGF-BB, and others naturally support tissue repair and serve as scaffolding for cell migration.

  • Protein concentrates can provide added benefit in PRP injections and help to boost healing.

  • While we can achieve very high platelet doses with a single spin technique if we use enough blood, when we double-spin using a certain protocol we can super concentrate not only the platelets but the proteins in the plasma

MORE ABOUT PLASMA PROTEINS

The use of autologous protein concentrate and fibrin derived from a patient's own plasma has become an increasingly valuable tool in cutting-edge orthopedics. These biologic agents promote tissue healing, reduce inflammation, and enhance overall outcomes without introducing foreign substances into the body.

Normally we discard the plasma during a PRP procedure, but more recently we are finding use for different components in the plasma that is left behind. Using a double-spin modified protocol we can super concentrate both the platelets and the plasma proteins.

MORE ABOUT HYALURONIC ACID

Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance with very few side effects that acts as a shock absorber and lubricant to help joints move more smoothly over each other. It is naturally occurring within human joints, but It decreases with age and with osteoarthritis (OA). This often leads to pain, stiffness and a loss of flexibility.

Doctors have used HA injections for decades to try to improve these symptoms, mainly in the knees, but occasionally in hips and shoulders. The theory is that restoring hyaluronic acid relieves pain by temporarily increasing the concentration of joint fluid and acting as an anti-inflammatory.

Recent studies show that there might be a synergistic effect when used in combination with PRP to give longer pain relief in joints such as the knee, shoulder, and hip.
