Does Insurance Cover Nonsurgical Orthopedic Treatments?
We take most insurance plans, and while insurance will usually cover consultations, procedures and braces, it does not cover orthobiologic and regenerative treatments such as PRP, Prolotherapy, Cell Therapy (Stem Cells), and Shockwave. NOTE: We require a $75 deposit for patients with $0 co-pay and high deductible plans who are scheduling a consult. We also require a $75 deposit for each visco injection for patients with commercial insurance plans (BCBS, Cigna, Aetna, United, Humana, etc.). Medicare patients are exempt from these policies.

Do You Offer Financing Options for Treatments Not Covered by Insurance?
Yes, we have partnered with CareCredit (a well-known healthcare financing provider) to offer financial options for patients who are seeking payment plans. You can easily apply online to pre-qualify (can even be done same-day) and then provide your card number when you come for treatment at our clinic:
Is There Any Orthopedic Complaint You Do NOT Treat?
We do not treat any problems having to do with the back/neck/spine, nor do we treat ongoing or chronic pain disorders. There are specific physicians that specialize in the treatment of these conditions.
What is Your Narcotic & Prescription Policy?
We do not prescribe narcotic pain medications or muscle relaxers. If you feel they are necessary, you can request to be referred to a pain management specialist for a consultation. Pain management providers specialize in helping patients whose pain cannot be controlled by nonsurgical orthopedic treatments alone, and therefore have more experience in dealing with chronic pain.
Do You Treat Patients Outside of Raleigh, NC?
Due to our unique treatment offerings and the experience of our providers, we have patients who seek our care from around the country. We are happy to make your travel experience as convenient as possible. Please see our "Out of Town Patients" page for more information.
What if I do want to come in for a second opinion ?
We need all of your records when you come, including past imaging reports.
We do have onsite x-ray and ultrasound, and so we can update some of this if needed.
We are not a surgical practice, but our providers have worked with and trained with a lot of the surgeons in the area. We are happy to give our opinion if you are wanting an outside look at your situation.
What is our philosophy on surgery?
While we attempt to prolong or avoid the need for surgery, some people WILL need surgery. We will never tell a patient that any other physician was wrong in suggesting surgery or that any of our treatments will permanently prevent surgery.
Our only job is to provide safe and study driven alternatives if that is what the patient would like to try next in their journey to seeking relief.
What if surgery is already scheduled?
You should be aware that should you choose to proceed with a treatment with us your surgery can be delayed for up to 90 days or more. You should always check with your surgeon before you decide to get any treatment to see what their policy is on injections and the delay of surgery.
