DO YOU ADVISE TAKING ANY SUPPLEMENTS ? 

There are some supplements that have good data for use in orthopedic pain complaints and in general bone health. 

 

We do carry a few of these in the office.  

Here are some that we might recommend: 

  • Vitamin D: Essential for calcium absorption and bone mineralization. It helps maintain bone density and strength, reducing the risk of fractures and promoting joint mobility.

  • Turmeric: Contains curcumin, a powerful anti-inflammatory compound that can reduce joint pain and stiffness associated with conditions like osteoarthritis, promoting better joint function.

  • Glucosamine: A natural compound found in cartilage that may support the maintenance and repair of joint tissues, reducing the symptoms of osteoarthritis and improving joint flexibility.

  • Calcium: A crucial mineral for building and maintaining strong bones. Adequate calcium intake supports bone density and helps prevent osteoporosis, especially as we age.

  • Fish Oil: Rich in omega-3 fatty acids, fish oil has anti-inflammatory properties that help reduce joint pain and stiffness, promoting joint health and overall mobility.
